For each video I make, I create a completely new set/stage. I use a private localhosted server with admin privileges and sometimes use Intoxicated | US Sandbox if I need other players to record with me. From there, I will create my own custom maps using RustEdit, or sometimes I use a procedurally generated map and build natural structures.
My designs are based around a no physics/no stability concept, and are made for aesthetics and looks as opposed to traditional Rust base building mechanics which are often cramped and ugly. I aim to push the limits of creative/role play type builds of sets for different recreations of music videos, performances, movie scenes, etc.
I built a whole green screen studio that is 9 stories high 9x9 on its foundation completely covered wall to wall to ceiling with banners and signs making it a complete 100% green screen room.
I use Rust cinematic mode on potato graphics settings to record the audio and video, and then I record the moving and still video takes in what are called cinematic 'shots' which are instances of a recording take that allows you to pan around and move the camera in debug mode while recording previously recorded movements in the game. Once I take a good shot of a scene, I record the final product in OBS on full graphics.
Once its recorded and I was able to see that no lag occurred (sometimes lag occurs and I have to restart my PC and re-record to get perfectly syncable shots), I drag the files into Adobe Premiere Pro. I layer the audio first and make it sound perfect as just a song, and then start to import the still shots and add them in one by one, syncing them as I go along, and then add the moving shots, finishing with intro/outro and extra clips that may be part of the video. Then I get to work on editing and after about a week, you got yourself a new Rust music video fully produced from beginning to end.
With more than 14,000 songs edited and fit just right for Rust musical instruments, you're sure to find hundreds of your favorite songs with the music organized by each instrument. Since the piano has the biggest range and can play the most songs, the piano folder has most of the songs in the pack and most of the piano songs work on most other instruments.
The Rust MIDI music pack comes with music styles such as: rock, hip hop, pop, jazz, electronic, classical, soundtracks, video games, memes, national anthems, reggae, Latin, and more!
This project has been in the works for 4 years now and is an ongoing effort with regular updates, now in version 5.0. If you find any songs that sound bad or have some kind of error, feel free to let me know on the Contact Page or on the Discord and I will fix it ASAP. Some errors are expected, but most of them sound great and I use them regularly.
One day on stream, CoconutB brought up the fact that I was #5 on the rankings for most music notes played and I had never even heard of a website tracking Rust stats, so I thought itd be fun to try getting first place and I was able to achieve that in the natural course of playing music and having fun.
